Every day at Kerr Street Mission, people from all different walks of life come through our doors needing help, friendship and love. By building community through our programs we hope to not just help clients but also to give them hope that their future can be brighter. We are so happy today to see a bright future for past clients Eugina and family. When they came here from Jordan 12 years ago, Eugina realized she would not be able to continue her career as a dentist due to the cost of schooling. This, with the strain of transitioning to a new country ended her marriage and she found herself caring for her children alone. Kerr Street Mission was there for her through these difficult times and she recently emailed us to give an update on her life. With the help of her daughter, who landed her dream job they were able to get a mortgage on a house and just last month Eugina landed her own dream job with the Halton Catholic District School Board. Life has turned around for her and her family and we couldn't be happier for her family. Eugina had this to say about KSM: "It has made a huge difference in my and my families life... the warmth, hope, a light in the end of the tunnel, the joy your service brought to my family.
