Dr. Clarence Clottey, 59, of Oakville, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on Thursday, Nov. 28, after an inves- tigation into the allegation by the Halton police child abuse and sex- ual assault unit. Police said the alleged victim is an adult female patient.Clottey is currently a practising doctor at Bristol Family Physicians, at 102- 2315 Bristol Circle in Oakville. Clottey was previously arrest- ed by Halton police on Feb. 14, 2017, and charged with the sexual assault of an adult female patient who came forward. That alleged assault occurred in 2013.He was ultimately found not guilty of that charge. Prior to that, Clottey was ar- rested and charged with sexual assault in November 2016 but, again, was found not guilty. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario notes on its website that Clottey is alleged to have engaged in the sexual abuse of seven women. Under practice restrictions, the CPSO states that, as of April 14, 2017, Clottey shall not perform any examination of the breast, pelvic or rectal area of a female patient. It also states that Clottey shall not see female patients unless the patient encounter takes place in the presence of a monitor who is a female member of a regulatedfemale member of a regulatedf health profession. Police are asking for anyone with information about this most recent incident or any other inci- dents to come forward. Anyone with information can contact Det. Const.
