Looking for gifts this holiday season? The Oak- ville & Milton Humane So- ciety (OMHS) has got you covered. OMHS relies 100 per cent on donations from the pub- lic and corporate sponsors to provide animal care and support within the shelter. When you purchase items at the Ye Olde Christ- mas Shoppe and Barkin' Bin Thrift Shop, all the money goes to help ensure more animals are rehabili- tated and will receive criti- cal, life-saving veterinary care. It also enables the non-profit organization to support animals in the best possible way so they can be adopted into their forever homes and have their best Christmas ever. John Bugailiskis said money spent in the thrift stores builds community, and supports the true meaning of Christmas. "With every dollar you spend at out thrift stores, you are helping build a more compassionate com- munity that cares for our fellow animals and eachfellow animals and eachf other," he said. "Together, we can make our shelter a place for dreams to become a reality over the holidays, but more importantly, where they can happen throughout the year." Items for sale include pillows (including Stars Wars), throw cushions thatWars), throw cushions thatW light up, boxed gifts, Christ- mas stockings, tree skirts and gift bags. They also have Christmas coats for dogs, leashes and toys for all types of pets. The humane society is dedicated to protecting and making life better for ani- mals and connecting the communities that care about them in Oakville and Milton. They achieve this, in part, by providing food, shelter and care for the many stray and surren- dered pets. In addition, the shelter offers an increas- ingly wide range of support services, including: • 24-hour emergency ser- vice • Lost and found • Owner surrender pro- gram • Educational program- ming for children • Animals for adoption • Cruelty investigations • Bylaw enforcement COMMUNITY PURCHASE GIFTS THAT HELP ANIMALS IN NEED, THROUGH OAKVILLE & MILTON HUMANE SOCIETY BARKIN BIN THRIFT SHOP AND YE OLDE CHRISTMAS SHOPPE Address: 511 Pinegrove Rd.
