He was husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Murphy) for over 64 years, and loving father of Karen (Jim), Kathy (Keith), Christopher and beloved daughter in law Cathy (Jamie). Lloyd was predeceased by daughter Kimberly, son Kevin and granddaughter Michelle, by parents Edward and Luella Adamson, Sisters Joyce and Joan also brothers Ivan and Gordon. "Papa" will be fondly remembered by 9 surviving grandchildren - Bonnie (Ron), Stephen, Jennilu, Donna, Christopher, Stacey, Jessica, Katlyn (Jeremy) and Gregory. Lloyd was proud "Great Papa" to Tom, Avery, Jace, Debbie and Kinsley. Lloyd will be missed by his surviving siblings June, Jean and Bruce (Paula) as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a seemingly endless stream of friends. Brother-in-Law to Rosemary (Don), Eileen (Bill - recently deceased, Lloyd's longtime school chum), Suzanne (Hardy), and Monica (Neil). He was a Letter Carrier for Canada Post in Oakville until retirement took them to Elliot Lake where Lloyd and Margie enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, berry picking for their famous jellies and just generally enjoyed the great northern outdoors. Both Lloyd and his alter ego "Pappy" played and coached both baseball and hockey for many years in Milton and Oakville. He and Margie were longtime faithful Soo Greyhound fans (Go Hounds Go!), for many years they would travel from Elliot Lake to Sault Ste Marie for all Hounds' home games. He will always be remembered for his love of life, keen sense of humour and his larger than life personality with that booming voice and laughter. There was always a party going on wherever he was and oh how he loved to party! The only thing he loved more than a good party was Margie, the love of his life. Starting in their late teens, they were inseparable, going to baseball, hockey and football games, swimming, skating and dancing. Put Big Band music on, especially Glen Miller and could they ever "cut a rug", spinning and twirling around the whole dance floor where many a time the other couples would clear the floor just to watch them dance. It was not so much their great dance technique, rather the chemistry that radiated from them that would open up the floor and light up the room. Even during the final days, when she walked into his room at Arch, his face just lit up. The Family would like to extend their greatest gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and all the Staff at the SAH Renal Clinic for the loving care they gave Lloyd. Born February 2, 1931 in Glasgow, Scotland, son of James and Elizabeth (Kaulfuss), he enjoyed a fulfilling life with loving family and friends. Jim is predeceased by Sally, his beloved wife of 61 years and will be very deeply missed by children Alison and Graham, son-in-law Drew, daughter- in- law Laura, grand-children Alison & Scott, Cody & Laura, Andrea & Nick, Dana and Lyndsay, Jessica & Jeremy, Danny, Aynsley and Richie and great-grandchildren Brayden and Ava. Predeceased by his brother Richard, Jim leaves behind his treasured sister, Edith and brother Robert. Fun times will be fondly remembered by brother-in-law and sisters-in- law John & Sheena, Joyce and Edeltraud. Loved and missed by many by nieces and nephews.Jim and family immigrated to Canada in 1964, moving first to Lindsay Ontario. Oakville became his new home in 1969 when he was hired as a teacher and Manager of Printing Services at Sheridan College. Working with staff, faculty and students, Jim very much enjoyed his career at Sheridan until he retired in 1993. A strong and courageous leader, Jim will be remembered for his quick wit, great humour and his unending dedication and love for his wife Sally, along with his willingness to make her tea whenever asked. A beautiful dancer, whether ballroom or Scottish Country, he was an absolute joy to watch, no-matter who he danced with, but especially so with Sally. He was very pleased to have a dance he devised, "The Stone Boats of Bronte" selected for the Oakville Scottish Dance Group's 50th anniversary. An avid reader with an amazing memory, he easily recited facts and figures that informed and entertained those around him. A long- time member of the Trafalgar Golf & Country Club and the Oakville Scottish Country Dancing Group, he kept busy and active for many years, right up until near the end. Jim and Sally leave behind a rich legacy of love. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Born in Manchester, England in 1921, she moved to Niagara FallsFFF , Ontario in 1948, where she worked as a research chemist. There, she met Orvil Myers, and they were married in 1949. They lived for a few years in Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island, then moved to Oakville, Ontario where they lived for 50 years. Florence was a portrait photographer, specializing in weddings, children and families. She and Orvil moved to the Kootenays in 2008, in order to be closer to their daughter Heather. They lived in Thrums for a couple of years, then at Lakeview Village in Nelson, then moved to MLSC when health issues became more pressing. Anne adored music and was an accomplished singer and pianist. After graduating from Trinity College, U of T, she used this talent during her long career as a much loved kindergarten teacher in Oakville. She cherished the time she spent with Fred and her grandchildren in Collingwood.
