Tiago created a video and posted it on his and his mom's social media sites, and within hours he received numerous do- nations of non-perishable food items and cash, which he and his mother drove around the Greater Toronto Area to pick up. On Thursday, May 7, Tiago was welcomed by staff at Kerr Street Mission, the charity he researched and chose to help, when he arrived to drop off his donations. "I felt helpless at home and wanted to do something for the people who are struggling with food," he said. "I have food in myfood," he said. "I have food in myf fridge and pantry and a rooffridge and pantry and a rooff over my head. The only thing I'm missing is my family, but I talk to them all the time." His video was shared on so- cial media by many and the out- pouring of donations was heart- warming, said Shannon.
