March 26, 1933 - August 20, 2020 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony A Glover in his 87th year at home in Oakville, Ontario on August 20, 2020. Loving husband of Joan Glover. Loving father of Tim, Terry, David and Don. Fondly remembered by his grand- children, nieces, nephews, family & friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Freelton, Ontario on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. for family and friends to attend. JOHNSON, Mildred Louise ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ On August 18th, 25 days before her 100th birthday, at Northridge Long Term Care, Oakville. Wife of the late Herbert Johnson (2014) and mother of Eric (Jayne Harley). Predeceased by sister Adeline and brothers Stan and Fred. Also survived by nieces Margaret Maxwell and Patricia Lindsay, nephew Wayne Fraser and families. Mildred was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 12, 1920, daughter of Mark and Laura Lindsay. A bright student, she become Dean's secretary at University of Saskatchewan, where she met Herb, her husband-to-be. Married in British Columbia, they moved to Montreal where Herb completed a Ph. D. at McGill University. They lived for almost 20 years in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec where Herb worked as a research chemist. Later they moved to Montreal before settling in Oakville in 1973. Mildred enjoyed reading, music, walking and golf and was for many years a member at Wyldewood G.C. With eyesight failing, Herb and Mildred moved to Vistamere seniors residence in 2004. After Herb's passing in 2014, Mildred continued to live at Vistamere until 2018 when a fall hospitalized her for several months. Unable to live independently, she lived first at Sunrise Burlington, then for the last year-and-a-half at Northridge LTC. Survivors thank all these establishments for the excellent care Mildred received. Until the end, she displayed courage, com- passion and a sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. Daughter of Marguerite and Oliver Desmond Boggs, predeceased by husband F. Donald Ripley. Sister to Jean Sutherland Boggs and James Desmond Boggs. Born in Lucknow, India, he immigrated to Canada in the 1960s. He taught English at Elmwood High School. He passed away peacefully at his home in Oakville, Ontario on August 17, 2020, at the age of 90. He will be remembered with love for his kindness and generosity by his family and friends. David came to Canada in 1951 and married wife Patricia (also from Scotland) in 1952, celebrating their 68th anniversary this year. His career with TD Bank began in the workshop as a talented carpenter and draftsman. Night school helped David attain the City and Guild levels in carpentry. The bank transferred David to Edmonton, Alberta (a new division) as Premises Supervisor of all bank branches in Alberta and northern BC. David returned to Toronto in 1976 and was TD's representative in building the first two TD towers in Toronto. By his retirement in 1990, David was Assistant VP, Premises for TD's properties worldwide. David was an avid golfer and spent many years at his winter home, Royal Wood G&CC in Naples, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his family, wife Patricia nee Trainer, son Robert (Bedsaida), daughter Deb (Paul Boucher), grandchildren Michelle, Kimberly, Christian, Mariana, and David who carries his name; sister Christine, and family in Scotland and the US. Much appreciation to Amica, Georgetown for taking wonderful care of David through his last year.
