Visiting guidelines have been further re- stricted at Halton Healthcare hospitals, which includes Oakville Trafalgar Memori- al Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Georgetown Hospital. As a result of the new provincial lock- down measures, patients are required to choose one person to be their designated vis- itor. Patients will not be allowed to switch designated visitors. Individuals not on the designated visitor list at the screening desks, are not permitted to enter. For most patient units, the designated visitor will be allowed to visit once each day within one of these visiting times: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. or 4-7 p.m. Mental health inpatient vis- iting hours are 5-7 p.m. "In light of the new provincial lockdown measures announced by the government and to help limit the number of people in our hospitals, we have made the difficult deci- sion to further reduce visiting for our pa- tients," read a statement on the HH website. COVID-19 patients and those waiting for COVID-19 test results are not permitted visi- tors unless their medical status changes for the worse. Virtual visits are offered seven days a week between 9 a.m.-9 p.m. To book a virtual visit, click here or call 905-338-4615. All visitors are required to enter through a designated visitor entrance, go through a screening process, wear a mask at all times and remain in the patient room for the dura- tion of their visit. NEW VISITOR RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE AT HOSPITALS Area hospitals have implemented further visitor restrictions. Graham Paine/Torstar NEWS
