Marian Council 3881 photo KEEPING THEIR COMMUNITY SAFE A donation of $4,500 was presented to the Crisis Out- reach and Support Team (COAST), a program of the Halton branch of the Cana- dian Mental Health Associ- ation (CMHA-HRB), by a group of local professionals determined to support men- tal well-being in their com- munity. The funds were raised by the newly-formed Camara- derie of Hope, through the sale of baskets of fine French foods made by chef Guy Dongue of Chez Kids Cuisine Santé. Member Deborah Ever- est-Hill said the group has been told by CMHA-HRB that its donation and efforts in spreading awareness of mental health issues indi- cates to clients that the com- munity cares about them. Led by Oakville-based real estate broker Emman- uelle Meyer, the group then set its sights on promoting a Love campaign for Febru- ary by sharing a video through social media chan- nels and requesting that others share their self-care practices and messages of love for those in need on so- cial media. Those interested in do- nating to the cause, or find- ing out more about Camara- derie of Hope, can do so by visiting www.camaraderie- ofhope.com.
