Reg.) 549/21. The Town of Oakville requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order. O. Reg. 549/21 applies to approximately 11.6 hectares of land municipally known as 2175 Cornwall Road in the Town of Oakville (Subject Lands). A Zoning Order regulates the use of land and the erection, location and use of any buildings or structures on the land. O. Reg. 549/21 limits the gross floor area of the existing building to 29,200 square metres and the total number of parking spaces to 689. Pursuant to subsection 47(4) of the Planning Act, and except for the purposes of section 24, the Minister deemed O. Reg. 549/21 to be and to always have been a by-law passed by the Council of the Town of Oakville. In addition, privately-initiated applications submitted to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing to remove O. Reg. 481/73 and the Parkway Belt West Plan from the Subject Lands have been approved. The Parkway Belt West Plan amendment was approved on July 29, 2021 as Amendment No. 231 and an order amending O. Reg. 481/73 was filed on July 30, 2021 as O. Reg. 548/21. O. Reg. 481/73 and the Parkway Belt West Plan no longer apply to the Subject Lands. For illustrative purposes, the Subject Lands are shown in the map. During the COVID-19 social distancing period when offices are closed, a copy of O. Reg. 549/21 may be viewed on the province's e-Laws website: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/210549. A copy of O. "We are pausing our exit from the road- map to reopening," said Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario's chief medical officer of health, during a recent press conference. This means Halton and the rest of the province will remain in Step 3 of the CO- VID-19 Roadmap to Reopen plan. "We need to get the vaccination policies in place and our vaccination rates up. This is what we need to do to protect Ontarians ...," said Dr. Moore. Expecting what he believes is going to be "a difficult fall and winter," Moore is- sued a directive mandating hospitals and home and community care service provid- ers to have a COVID-19 vaccination policy for employees and staff, which must be ef- fective no later than Sept. 7. As for the weekly COVID-19 cases, the region's website shows that from Aug. 13 to 19 there were 137 new cases, up from 125 the previous week. A COVID-19 outbreak at Hampton Ter- race long-term care home in Burlington, declared on Aug. 18, has infected six people so far. As of Aug. 20, the number of active CO- VID-19 cases stood at 121 -- with 42 cases each in Burlington and Oakville, 27 in Mil- ton, and 10 in Halton Hills. There have been 18,515 cases of COVID-19 during the pan- demic, with 18,157 marked as resolved and 237 deaths. With files from Louie Rosella Here's a weekly roundup of COVID-19 cases and news.
