Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Jay and parents Henry and Catherine MacGregor. The last of the lovely MacGregor girls, she was predeceased by her sisters Christine, Rose, Mary and Ina, as well as brother John. She is survived by daughter Janet (Patrick), sons Robert, Brian (Lisa) and brother Arthur of New Brunswick and many nephews and nieces in the Maritimes. Loving Grammie to Robert (Samantha), Adam (Natalie), Michaela and Owen, all of whom she was so proud and loved to spend time with as they were growing up. They gave her so many happy memories and lots of fun Mom was born and raised just outside of Antigonish, Nova Scotia and was very proud of her Maritime heritage. She loved getting back to Nova Scotia and PEI in the summer to visit her nephews, nieces and friends after moving to Oakville with Jay in the late 1950's. As a big fan, she loved being a hockey mom and enjoyed watching her favourite players from Nova Scotia, especially Sidney Crosby and Nathan McKinnon, but not you Brad Marchand. A long term member at Central Baptist Church in Oakville, Mom loved her Lord from an early age. She was extremely homesick when she first arrived in Oakville with Dad but was warmly welcomed at Central, which became her focal point for worship, friends and social activities Mom loved to prepare meals for family and friends, never anything overly fancy but real comfort food, mainly from Maritime recipes. She would always fuss over her pastry and warned us to be careful of the bottom pie crust not being perfect, of course it always was. Every meal we waited for the order "Don't eat the bottom crust!" A notorious worry wart, espe- cially about impending bad weather, she would get on the phone at the hint of a snow storm or just bad driving weather to warn us not to go out. Thus the legend of Stormwatch Dama was born, a nickname she would laugh at and admit was well founded. We will miss our Dear Little Dama immensely. She was the ultimate mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Loving, kind, decent, funny and always with a ready smile and warm hug for all. We are all better people for having her in our lives and will continue her legacy by continuing to abide by these traits as we honour her memory. Cremation has taken place, at Mom's request there will be no funeral at this time. A family service and interment will take place in the Spring. In memorium donations made to Central Baptist Church, Oakville would be appreciated by the family. We miss you Mom and always will. Love always, Janet, Robert and Brian MILLER, Vera ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Chelsey Park Long Term Care, London, Ontario, passed away in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Miller (1987) for 45 years. Predeceased by her cherished daughters, Ann Hern (Bill) (2010) and Brenda Burke (Glenn) (2011). Adored Grandmother (aka Gram) of Sandra, Peter (Phoebe), Matt and Trevor (Suzie) and loving Great Grandmother to Drew, Ethan and Austin. Dear sister of Olive Tetsull (the late Cliff, May 2021) and predeceased brother Mitch (Joan) and Derek (Joyce). Loved and cherished by many nieces, nephews, and extended family here, in British Columbia and the United Kingdom. She was a proud Brit who emigrated in 1957 with her family to make a life in Oakville, Ontario, where she resided until 2017 when she moved to London. She was a hard working, strong, steadfast, and loving woman who was always devoted to her family and her friends. She adored cats and dogs, caring for her own and the rest of our family pets. She was always an available and happy furbaby Grandma. She was a talented cook, seamstress and enjoyed knitting. One of her most favourite past times though, was her garden where she spent hours cultivating and nurturing her many plants, flowers, and vegetable batch. Our family would like to extend our thanks to all the wonderful staff of Chelsea Park LTC for the remarkable care they gave our dear Gram. In particular, the staff of the fourth floor who loved and took care of her as if she were their own, they were very much her family for the four years she lived with them. I know she loved you all. Cremation has taken place. Donations in Vera's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, PO Box 640, STN K, Toronto, ON N4P 9Z9, your local Humane Society or a charity close to your heart. Arrangements entrusted with Cremation London & Middlesex, 519-858-2467. Online condolences shared at www.cremationlondon.com PAGNOTTA, Carmelo Michael ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Surrounded by his loving family, our beloved Carmelo left us bereft, with profound sadness and loss, to continue his journey, now free of pain on November 22, 2021. Carmelo was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by his wife, Gail and his daughters, Amy (Calvin) and Julie-Rose (Tim). His brothers, Louis (Shirley) and Aldo will miss him terribly, as will his many nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He was loved and will be missed by his wife's siblings: Paul, Cindy (Steve), Cori (Weldon), and his mother-in- law Evelyn and her sister Anna. He was a loving son to his predeceased parents, Rosario (called Francesco), and Rosaria Pagnotta. Always caring and considerate, Carmelo was highly regarded by his friends who were close enough to call family. They will miss him running football pools, at poker games, and at the Elders' weekly lunches. Some might say his cappuccinos were the best they'd ever had. We will all miss his gentle kindness, deep philosophical discussions, open-minded perspective, and his ability to see many points of view. Thank you to all medical personnel who have cared for Carmelo over the years. A very special thank you to his brother, Louis, who gave him a phenomenal gift of extended life 19 years ago. Fly with no pain, oh gentle soul. We will love you forever and miss you always. Carmelo would quote Leonard Cohen in saying, "That was great fun. Be well dear friends." In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. A celebration of Carmelo's life will be held at a future date due to Covid-19. A funeral service was held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home in Oakville, on Friday, December 3, 2021 with visitation. And have you gone, forever gone and left us here to weep. Till we are called to follow you, and in the grave to sleep; yet since you could no longer stay to cheer us with your love, we hope to meet with you again in the bright world above. Heavy are our hearts today, memory brings you back once more, to the time when you were with us, to the happy days of yore. The rolling stream of life rolls on. But still the vacant chair recalls the love, the voice, the smile of the one who once sat there. 1-800-263-6480 classifieds@metroland.comCLASSIFIEDS OBITUARIES | ANNOUNCEMENTS | JOBS | MARKETPLACE OBITUARIES
