Extremely proud of 14 great-grandchildren: Isabella, Amanda, Evan, Brandon, Connor, Eva, Rocco, Jack, Grace, Michael, Rachel, Lucy, Leonardo & Dafne. Sister to (late Alessandro), Angelina (late Domenic), Tony (Sylvia) and Gerry (Angela). Devoted aunt to many other family members in (Montreal, Italy, Burlington & Niagara Falls).-- We will forever be indebted to her for her courage & determination together with her beloved husband to provide a better future for their family by immigrating to Canada in 1964 at the age of 41. After many sacrifices she realized her dream. She made a lot of friends along the way and touched many lives through her involvement with St. James Parish community and by organizing pilgrimages to St. Anne de Beaupre (Quebec) for 34 years. She was always a humble and simple person ready to help anyone. A mother always thinking of her family, a woman of few words with a big heart - didn't say "I love you" very often but her eyes always showed her love & pride for her family. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid knitter and crocheted such beautiful works of art and tried to impart to us daughters her passion for knitting. She led by example and taught us that actions always speak louder than words.- Mom, may all these sacrifices reward you with endless happiness and peace as you rejoin Dad and your loved ones in Heaven. Please give Dad a hug for us - thank you for all that you have done for us - we will cherish our memories with you forever and will always love you. Love, Your Family. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital who took care of Mom during her stay. Special thanks to the Doctors, Staff, Nurses and PSWs at The Post Inn Village for your compassion and tender loving care given to Mom during her last days. You are truly an amazing team and made us all feel like we were part of your family. God Bless you all. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria to the Alzheimer Society or The Willow Foundation would be appreciated.
