Since 1962, the volunteer women's organization has annually provided scholar- ships to qualifying high school students, granting more than $1.4 million in its history. Organizers say they as- sist Oakville youth, who have demonstrated a more than average financial need, in realizing their post-secondary dreams. Successful applicants receive funding in the first year, plus have the oppor- tunity to renew their schol- arship each year of their education program.
