Storyteller, academic author, trivia and book lover. Science enthusiast, stargazer, programmer, patient teacher, magic maker and grill master. Curious, clever and rational thinker. Coach, teacher, pack leader and loyal team member. Puzzle solver, card and computer gamer. Kind protector, gentle giant, brave helper and mender of broken things. After a length of failing health, Garry passed peacefully at his home in Oakville, with his loving wife Jennifer (Soane) of 51 years by his side. Surrounded by love and remaining kindly in the memories of those that knew him. He was the son of the late Gil and Gwen Flynn and predeceased by his sister Laurie Werner (Larri). He will be dearly missed by his sister JoAnn Flynn, niece Stacy Szehner (Steve), nephew Scott Nash (Judy) as well as his great and great-great nieces and nephews. Survived by his son Gregory (husband to Gregory Paciga) & Kevin (husband to Melanie Brown Flynn). Garry graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Ph.D. in Radiation Chemistry. He went on to work with all the nuclear power plants in Ontario. In lieu of flowers and service, we welcome donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. VASILOPOULOS, Carole Ann (nee Harte) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Carole Ann Vasilopoulos passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the age of 81 after a brief struggle with Covid-19. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tommy, her brother Stephen and sister-in-law Geraldine. A devoted and caring mother to Eric (Diane), Kristi (Robert). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kyle, Ethan, Cole, Logan and Aubrey. Proud great grandmother of Seth, Kaeden and Skyler. Carole will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends, in particular the ladies of the coffee club. A service to celebrate Carole's life will be held on April 11th at 1:00 at the chapel at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. Reception to follow. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Romualdo (1993). She will be dearly missed by her sons, Vince and Mario (Heather Roberts). Anna was the proud Nonna of Benjamin, Samuel (Lindsey), Anna Maria and Nadia and great- grandmother of Scarlett. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. The matriarch of her family, she loved them all unconditionally. She was a wonderful cook and was happiest hosting family and friends around her dining room table, listening to them tell their stories. She loved to crochet and to spend time in her garden but her family was her heart. Visitation for Mrs. D'Agostino has taken place at Oakview Funeral Home 56 Lakeshore Rd W. on Wednesday, April 6th between 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Parish in Oakville on Thursday April 7th at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens.
