During these seven days the Town of Oakville and community partners will offer free activities and learning opportuni- ties for local youth. Some of the activities include a Youth Basket- ball Clinic at the Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre on May 1, a free recrZZZeational skate at the River Oaks Communi- ty Centre on May 3, and a Combat Challenge obsta- cle course at the Queen Elizabeth Park Communi- ty and Cultural Centre on May 6. Local youths can also explore different types of technology, such as 3D printing, create fun crafts, and play games at the Oakville Public Library White Oaks Branch on May 4. Town of Oakville photo The Halton Outdoor Club, a not-for-profit vol- unteer-run organization which offers recreational activities all year round, is holding its Spring Info Fair Saturday, April 30. The event will run be- tween 1 and 3:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Johnson Out- doors Canada, 4180 Har- vester Rd. in Burlington. Included in the activi- ties offered for adults throughout the year are cy- cling, hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. "We have been enhanc- ing the quality of life for Halton's adult residents for the past 49 years, by provid- ing them with organized activities that allow them to be active and energized together outdoors. And over the past 24 months our members have told us that these outdoor activities have helped to keep them sane and happy," said Ephraim Fernandez, HOC's director of publicity and promotion.
