"Where's Grandma," a three act comedy, was played Monday night in the basement of the Bronte United church under the auspices of the Women's Auxil- iary, by the Wesley Players from Sheridan. During the intermis- sions the audience was 'favoured with piano solos.by Mrs. Hugh Brearly and vocal numbers by Mrs, Alf, Jennings. Born in Mitchell, he was graduated from the Tor- onto School of Pharmacy in 1895, coming to Oakville ¢ne year later. He served on the town council for over 15 years, holding office as councillor, deputy-reeve and reeve. He was also a member of! the Board of Education and the Welfare Board. He was a Mason! and Past Master of the Oakville lodge. He was an active mem. ber of St. Jude's Anglican church where he was a former member of the choir and warden. He was chairman of St. Jude's Cemetery. board, He was also a member of the Oakville Rotary club. His wife, the former Sarah Mathewman, predeceased him over three years ago. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. H. A. Brown, Edmonton; Mrs, H. G. Colebrook, Montreal; Mrs. Percy. Sutton and Mrs, Larry Cond, both of 'Oakville.
