CT. Beughrer Dies Succumbing to an' attack of coronary thrombosis, Cecil Todd Boughner died suddenly at his home, 66 Park Ave, on Satur- day. He was 52 years of age, A native of St. Thomas, Ont. Mr. Boughner was supervisor of merchandising of the Toronto office of the Income Tax depart- ment. He was formerly a certi- fied public accountant with P. S. Ross & Son, Toronto, In the fi great war he served as a pilot officer. He had lived in Oakville for a year and a half. Mr. Boughner was a director of Oak- ville Golf Club, and attended St. Jude's Church. Besides his widow, the formen Dorothy Sloggett, Mr. Boughner leaves a brother, Roy Boughner, and two nieces, Miss Katharine Boughner and Mrs. D, Bertal, all of Kitchener; The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the funeral chapel of S. Graydon The two Guides who played Good Samaritans to the injured skunk were commended for their act of kindness on a recent ra- dio program, and a letter of con- gratulation was received from a gentleman in Toronto, Captain Hilda McKinley, Cap- tain Eve Armour and Lieut. Kay Taylor were in charge of the week-end camp at Samac, near Oshawa when seventeen Guides enjoyed some deluxe camping and managed to cram in a lot of work toward First Class tests, From First Guide Company there were Sunny Ancevich, Car- ole Broadbent, Barbara Black, Lucy and Sheila Withnall. Bar- bara Ashbridge, Elizabeth Forth, Maxine MacArthur, Elaine Rowe, Muriel Bovair and Gail Edwards went from Second Company, and Guides from Third Company were Ruth McCausland, Eliza- beth Black, Diane Miles and Eleanor Inkster. Elizabeth For- th's birthday was celebrated at camp on Sunday with cake and candles and presents. The girls journeyed to Oshawa by car on Friday afternoon and returned Sunday evening. Betty Simms is a new recruit in Second Guide Company which will gain two more members at this week's Flying-Up ceremony Miss Armitage, & veteran Guide and Brownie trainer from Dorset, England, conducted the training course at the Area Council at Norval on May 1st which ten Ounkville Guiders at- tended.
