A 15-foot row of good variety will yield about 20 quarts of pods from the time the first pods form until the plants cease bearing. Extra early kinds may be sown up to within 60 days of first frost. The seeds usually germinate in about one week. The plants in about 60 days. Remember that beans need cultivation more than watering. Improved Feed Setup Expands World Herds Cattle raisers in most parts of the world have expanded their herds during the past .two years due to the improved feed situa- tion and the strong demand for beef and veal. Your optom- etrist must consider all these things before writing a prescrip- tion for glasses for you. The final prescription obtained must then be placed in exactly the right position in front of your eyes. A shift of as little as one millimeter will change the effect of the lenses on your eyes mak- ing your vision less clear, less comfortable, or less efficient than is possible. For this reason the choice of a frame is important. Your, optom- etrist can advise you about a style which will be attractive and which will allow proper fitting of the lenses. In having the len- ses ground the optical centre is seldom placed in the same spot as the geometric centre but is moved over to conform to the way you will be looking through the glasses. Your frame must be one that will allow this to be done. Finally your frame must be adjusted exactly right on your face so that the alignment of the lenses with the pupils of your eyes is correct. What a pity it is, after all the detailed care and study necessary to fit a pair of glasses, to see people whose glasses are com- pletely out of line. It is so fool- ish, too, since it is only the work of a few moments to have them adjusted and straightened. It is a wise plan to have the alignment checked once a month. In this way youy will. alway have the most efficient use of your glasses. Carsten Glahn R.O. OPTOMETRIST 163 COLBORNE ST. E. PHONE 1375 Community Hardware Colborne St. E.
