Greene--Shipley In a setting of white tapers and stand- ards of chrysanthemums, Marion Ruth Shipley was united in marriage with John Maurice Greene, -of St. John's United Church, Saturday afternoon. The bride is the daughter of W. B. Shipley and the late Mrs. Shipley, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs, W. J. Greene. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Harry Pawson. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina-length gown of white taffeta, and finger-tip veil of tulle illusion arranged from a scalloped Juliet cap. She carried pink roses and chrysanthemums. Her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Near, Bronte, was matron of honor, |iyearing a matching half-hat with vel- low feathers, and carrying yellow chry- santhemums. _ Russell Greene was groomsman, and Ray Greene and Wil- liam Robertson were ushers. The ceremony was followed by a re- ception in the church parlors, where Mrs. Shipley received in an afternoon dress of black corded crepe, petal pink velour hat and corsage of pink roses. She was assisted by Mrs. Greene, the groom's mother, wearing plum crepe with black accessories and corsage of vellow chrysanthemums.
