Hurry - Promotion runs June 9-22, 2022 When Mark Prskalo saw the news about a lot- tery winner, he remem- bered he had his own tick- et. The 38-year-old Oak- ville man checked his tick- et using the OLG app and was thrilled to see he had won $1,000. His wife was equally happy about the win, but then Prskalo took another look and realized it wasn't $1,000. "I took a closer look at all the zeros and I stopped in my tracks," he said. "My wife didn't believe I won $1,000, so you can imagine her face when I told her it was $1 million." Prskalo had matched all seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the April 19 Lotto Max draw. Prskalo said he usually only plays the lottery when the jackpots are high, and always adds Encore, which turned out to be a good de- cision. "When I realized it was legit, excitement took over and we were jumping and cheering," he said. Prskalo, a salesperson, said he plans to make some investments and have a family trip to Europe. His winning ticket was purchased at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Dundas Street in Oakville. 'I TOOK A CLOSER LOOK AT ALL THE ZEROS' NEWS LOCAL MAN WINS $1 MILLION Mark Prskalo won $1 million by matching all seven Encore numbers in order in the April 19 Lotto Max draw. OLG photo New bell times for some schools within the Halton District School Board (HDSB) have been pro- posed for next year. The affected schools and new bell times are as follows: Rolling Meadows Public School, 8:55 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; Captain R. Wilson Public School, 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.; Heritage Glen Public School, 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.; Acton District High School, 8:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.; Rattlesnake Point Public School, 8:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.; Elsie Mac- Gill Secondary School, 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p. m.; River Oaks and Munn's Public Schools, 8:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Factors that led to school bell time changes included balanced nutri- tion breaks, principal re- quests and congestion challenges. School hour reviews are conducted annually, and requests are usually ap- proved if the change does not result in additional costs to the board or if re- quested changes result in cost savings, according to David Colley, general man- ager, Halton Student Transportation Services. HDSB trustees will vote on the proposed school bell changes at the next regu- lar meeting of the board on June 15. REVISED BELL TIMES PROPOSED FOR SOME HALTON SCHOOLS
