Green, (nee Thompson), on January 26, 2022, after a brief illness at the Joseph Brant Hospital in her 96th year. Carol, loving wife of the late Robert (Bob) Green of Oakville, loving mother of son Robert, and wife Louise, and devoted nana to Bryce (Natasha) and Spencer. Carol was born in Wolverhampton England and emigrated with husband Bob to Brantford, Ontario shortly after World War 2. Carol and family settled in Oakville in 1966 and during her working years worked, for L.A. Jones and Company and later with Revlon Canada. Carol retired in 1992 to embrace the mission of caring for her two grandsons. Carol had travelled extensively in her life and enjoyed her home, gardening, and so cherished her time with family and many close and dear friends. At the age of 90, she decided that she didn't need the respons- ibilities of her house and decided that condo life would be her next adventure. So, with that she purchased her little slice of Hearthstone by the Lake in Burlington. During her time at Hearthstone, she enjoyed making new friends and so appreciated the warm, friendly and caring staff (particularly her TV repair elves). Interment will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Till we are called to follow you, and in the grave to sleep; yet since you could no longer stay to cheer us with your love, we hope to meet with you again in the bright world above. Gone is the face we loved so dear, silent is the voice we loved to hear; too far away for sight or speech, but not too far for thought to reach, sweet to remember you who once was here, and who, though absent, is just as dear.
