Albert passed away peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in his 95th year. He will be forever remembered by his son James David (Mary- Anne), his daughter Pamela (Marc), his grandchildren Jonathan, Corinne, Christ- opher (Amanda), Allison (Alex), and Sarah (Kyle), and great- grandchildren Ethan, Nora and Alice. Albert was predeceased by his beloved wife Olive of 67 years. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Ron and nieces Beverly, Karen, and Michelle and their families. Albert was born in South Shields, England on October 29, 1927. He was predeceased by his mother Lillian Spence, his father James Hornby, and sisters Nellie and Belle. Albert and Olive immigrated to Canada in 1964. Albert brought with him a strong work ethic and spent his entire career in Canada with Westinghouse, ending as Plant Manager in Hamilton. He and Olive enjoyed many happy years at their home in Port Charlotte Florida participating in all the events that made Maple Leaf Estates and Golf and Country Club their favourite winter retreat, including singing in the Maple Leaf choir. Albert and Olive were long standing members of Knox Presbyterian Church in Oakville and the Oakville Lawn Bowling Club. Albert was a member of the Claude M. Kent Masonic Lodge in Oakville and later became a Shriner. Albert had a tremendous sense of humour and loved to reminisce about the past. He was a true gentleman and loved by all those who had the good fortune and pleasure of meeting him. He will be missed but not forgotten by his family and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Albert's life at 11 a.m. on August 22nd at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville. The interment will take place following the service at 11:45 a.m. at St. Judes's Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. HUXTED, Allan ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brad (Bradley) Allan Huxted at the age of 65 on July 26, 2022, at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a long journey with cancer. Brad was pre-deceased by his parents Earl and Doreen and his sister Cathy. Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his brother Clayton; sister Sandra (Mike) Kinsella; sister-in-law Laurie (Les) Kerry; son-in-law to Maureen and Thomas Barclay. SUNDERLAND, Paul ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Sunderland on Friday, August 5, 2022, at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Candace (nee Clarke), and their three children Adrian (Lauren), Erin (Ryan), and Brad (Jason). He will be sorely missed by his beloved grandchildren Clark and Cadence. He leaves behind his mother Margaret, and three siblings Mel, Terry (Kim), and Janice (Brian). Paul was a bright, active, and social person throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of the Royal Military College, Class of 1976, in the Rank of Lieutenant, earning his Bachelor of Engineering degree. He had a successful and rewarding career, largely as an executive in telecom- munications and software development. Paul was an avid golfer, who cherished many golf trips with friends, particularly playing St. Andrews in Scotland. He was a member of the Oakville Curling Club, playing in several leagues. He enjoyed the game immensely, inclu- ding the strategy and comradery with fellow curlers. As a loving husband, Paul gave Candace ballroom dance lessons as a gift, which turned into a 14-year adventure as ballroom dancers. They partic- ipated in many competitions, most notably in New York City. He was a man of many talents. He loved spending time with his family at the cottage, Cricklewood. He enjoyed boating, fishing off the dock, and relaxing at the sandy beach. Paul was a natural problem solver, taking on all of life's challenges with a positive attitude. He was known for his witty sense of humour, loving nature, and logical approach. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. A public visitation will be held on August 24, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville. A service will be held at the Glen Abbey United Church at a time to be determined in September. These details will be updated when available. Born in Peterborough, Ontario, to parents (predeceased) Philip and Joyce Turner, Mike was an extremely devoted husband and father, always putting his girls first. He will be forever in the hearts of his wife Sonia of 52 years, daughters Tori (Rob) and Chrissy (Ray), and granddaughters Maddy, Pippa, Lilly and Poppy. The funeral will be on Friday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Jude's Anglican Church in Oakville, Ontario. Visitation will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. before the service.
