PRIVATE BILLS, On the motion of Mr. RYKERT, the Bill g to amend an indenture between the London and Port 'etvaUy Railway Company, and the Great Western Railway Company, was read a third time and passed. The Bill to further amend the Act incor- porating the Hamilton and N orth-western 'Rsilway Company was advanced a stage. THE LIQUOR LAW. Hon. Mr. CROOKS moved the House into Committee to consider the Bill to amend and consolidate the law for the sole ot fermented and spirituous liquors, end some verbal amend- ments, he desired to make. The amendments were made. the Committee rose, and the Bill was reported as amended. The amendments having been considered, Hon. Mr. CROOKS moved tho third mad. ing to take place tomorrow. ElNDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS. On the motion of Hon. Mr. MOWAT, the l Bill respecting Industrial Schools was " reload a etsge. l SALES POR TAXES. Hon: Mr, PARDEE moved the second reading of the Bill to mske valid certain ssles for taxes of lands in towns not http,'.':', from counties. m stated that this ill won for the purpose of legalizing those sales which, from ignorance of the lsw, were not made by the Froper offieera. It was not in- tended to legalize fraudulent sales, bat merely those es which had been made by town bfhotms instead of county ofiiarra. The motion was carried. GAOL ALTERATIONS. Hon. Mr. FRASER moved the House into Committee on Bill respecting public aid to. wards making'gaol additions and alterations. Mr. HARDY took the chair. Hon.
