The Legislature held anothor short sitting | yeosterday and did nothing in particular, The Ministers are the busy men of the place, as a great deal has to be dono in preparing measures yot to be presented, and hearing deputations of all sorts and conditions of mon asking for pretty nearly every kind of thing that it is in the power of the Administration to grant. There were a great many petitions presented, and six bills, particulars of which are given be-- low, were introduced. _ When " Government Orders" was called, the Attornoy--General promptly rosponded with the propo:--al to go on with the second reading of the bill to amend the law respecting the solemnisation of marriages, _ Mr. Meredith objected that this and other Government bills had been only ; lately distributed, and that he had not had an opportunity to examine thom. He opposed un-- due hasic in legislation. The Attorney--General reoplied that the Government would not ask the House to sit on Good Frid:ti'. but whether the adjournment would be made to Monday or 'Faesday following nad not been docided. 'On Mr, Moredith stating that the opinion on his side of the House scemed to be in ravor of an adjournment from Thursday to Tuesday, Mr. Mowat said he would propose that that course be taken when the time came. Me further stated that the Treasurer would make his tinancia' statement on Tuesday next. "On Good Friday," suggested Mr. Meredith. 'The college will also, it is proposed, collect data on cremation and other mothods for the disposition of cadavers. <~'The pro-- visional council of the new -- college is named as follows:--J. B. Reid, Kingston, and A, Dodds, Bolton. 1t is provided that the council shall hold examinations and grant diplomas twice a year, 'The restrictions of the act against the use of the titlo "Registered Undertaker and Embalmer" are to come into effect on the 1st July, 1891.
