Inspector Christie's examination in regard to the produce and accounts of the London Asylum farm was conclud- ed before the Public Alccounts Com- mittee this morning. He lgave a few I additional figures regarding value of some of the products, and said that there had been a net gain of 37.6%) 64 during the year. Dr. Sippi, the Bursar of the asylum. was also present and corroborated the inspector's state-\ ments. A PETERBORO' co. DEPUTATION.: A deputation composed of Mr. Alex. Morrison. Reeve of Somerville. and Mr. 1Henry Graham. Reeve of Kinmount, Iand others, waited upon Hon. Mr. Hardy to-day asking for an appropria- l tion of $2,500 gpr the repairs of a bridge known as the Petcrboro'. Victoria and Somerville bridge. This bridge has been in dispute for a long tiny}, and was the subject of legislation In the House to adjust the differences be- tween the various municipalities. The deputation asked for the appropriation for the reason that keeping the bridge ' in repair was a heavy burden on the township. Mr. Hardy considered the proposition favorably. but said that If an appropriation was given it must not be considered a. precedent in any . way, or that the Government was bound to assist always in maintaining the bridge.
