The principles of Mr. Pattullo's bill regarding exemptions and bonuses pas-- sed by a large majority,. There was no | discussion. The vote was taken on the questions (1) shall the question of ex-- emptions and bonuses be submitted to the ratepayers at the general municipal or other elections; (2) shall a two--thirds majority be necessary to carry the ex-- emption or bonus. 8. By a vote of 21 ty 12 the committee adopted the principle of Mr. '(!onmee's bill fespecting electric;lighting .compan-- ies.
