The House seems to be more or' less at a standstill while waiting for} the finding of the Judges in the .Gamccfr commission, which is now ex-' | pected daily. ; | _ Export of Natural Gas. | Dr. Jessop moved for a return of copies of the regulations at present in force by order in Council respecting the exportation of natural gas into the United States. He believed the order in Council prohibiting the export of gas was not being carmed out, and the gas was not being kept for the people of Ontario. Automobile Speed Increased. Mr. Preston (Brant), when the House was in committee, moved that an amendment be made to his auto-- mobile act to increase the permissible| rate of speed in cities and towns from seven miles to ten miles an hour. _ DF. \\1]10ug11h)' opposed the mo-- tion, thinking that at first the rate should not be more than seven miles and if, subseduently it was found prac-- tical it might be increased. Colonel Gibson thought that evea ten miles was not a great rate. Mr. H. Carscallen (East Hamil-- ton) agreed with Colonel Gibson, but thought the limit should be rcstrictedi at strcct' crossings. Mr. Whitney thought that ten miles | was not too great a rate, but he con-- sidered it impracticable to make a dif-- terent rate for crossings The amend-- ment carried. _ The fee for licenses was set at $2.
