Hodgins, M.P.P. for South Middlesex. The bill is practically a following up of the proposals, which will also come before the Legislature, to | grant considerably increased powers to the university. Hitherto the college has l been of a denominational character and known as the College of the Episcopal Church. The university will in future be undenominational, and the funds provided by the city will be used for the maintenance of two professors. Mr. Lucas Chairman. The Private Bills Committee of the Legislature met yesterday morning for organization . purposes. "Xr. I. B. Lucas (Centre Grey) was elected Chair-- man. On Thursday the Hon. R.
