VERY MUCH IN DARK, thtree rmernnmmne Rerrncrmcee Legislature Members Wax Facetious Over Reading From French Paper So rarely is the musical tongue of La Belle France heard on the floor of the Ontario Legislature that members were inclined to treat \ jocularly -- yesterday J. A. Pinard's . short reading from a French--Cana-- dian newspaper. Mr. Pinard pre-- faced his reading by utterly disap-- proving of the statements contained in the article, but not an explana-- tion or a translation did the memiber (for East Ottawa offer as to what it was all about. '"Louder!" exclaimed Hon. G,. H. Ferguson when Mr. Pinard sailed into his French reading. "DAésgraceful!" vigorously ~inter-- jected Capt. Joe Thompson in sup-- port of Mr. Pinard's contention as to the erroneousness of whatever was contained in the article. \ '"Hear, hear!'"' exclaimed R. L. Brackin, applauding when Mr. Pin-- ard, having read the article, again declared that its whole tenor was unfounded and utterly misleading.
