Scope of the Inquiry. The commission is to inquire into f and report upon the following: (1) All estimates submitted from time to time to the Hydro--electric Power Commission of Ontario for the Queenston -- Chippawa power devel-- opment, and also all estimates for the said work submitted by the said commission to the Government of Ontario. * (2) The reasons for increases from time to time in the estimates for the Queenston-(':hippawa power | development. # (3) The total cost, when complet. ed, of the Queenston -- Chippawa power development (a) with five units installed; (b) with units in-- stalled to the full capacity of the canal. (4) The continuous output ca-- pasity of the Queenston-Chippawa power development under the condi-- tions mentioned in clause 3, | (5) The methods of construction, | supervision and management whichl f have been employed in the Queens-, ton -- Chippawa power development, | and whether they can justifiably be continued for the economical com-- pletion of the work. (6) '(a). The quantity of water now available for use by means of the Queenston--Chippawa canal; (b) the power that can be developed thereby in continuous output at the Queenston power station. | (7) In what manner and to what extent will the price of Niagara | power be affected, if at all, by the |cost of the Queenston--Chippawa de-- | velopment? f (8) Any other power develop-- ments undertaken by the Hydro--elec. | tric Power Commission, and gener-- ally all matters of expenditure and ! administration by the said commis-- | sion. | __The commission is ailso to make Isuch suggestions and recommenda-- itions arising out of the subjects in-- dicated as may be desirable, and to |report the evidence and facts | * brought out by the investigation. t W.
