The Pre- mier explained the bills were intro- duced so that they could be printed for today's consideration. Two of the bills were introduced} by Hon. Charles McCrea. Minister oti Mines. One is to carry out the. recommendations of the Fish and, Game Committee, and the other is! to amend the Natural Gas Act Jil, 1922 so that townships exempt under. Section 9 of the 1922 act may be brought under the control ot the! Natural Gas Board for the purpose of conserving natural gas and the regulating of rates. A third bill, introduced by the Af-l torney-General, validates the pro- ceedings which had taken place when certain mining titles were declared forfeited by the former Government for the non-payment of taxes. About 1.800 titles were affected. The At- Ltorney-General explained that an in- vestigation had been held, and as a lresult the conclusion was reached lthat the proceedint= of the depart- 'ment had not been regular. As many lot these mining locations had been lrestaked. it was thought necessary. . Mr. Nickle said. to introduce a bill lvalldatlng the proceedings which ihad taken place.
