C Ynclav/, F\Ach '30'7\1 -- ANTI--VACCINATION BILL WITHDRAWN BY PROULX Acceding to the request of Premier Ferguson, Edmond Proulx, Liberal member for Prescott, last night with-- drew his anti--vaccination bill from this session's legislative program. | When the bill was called for second | reading last night Mr. Proulx repeat-- | ed his plea that it should go before the | Legal Committee where expert advice -- imight be heard in favor and against | compulsory vaccination. ' _"I know," said Premier Ferguson, "that there are conscientious objectors to vaccination. But I think we all agree | that the great preponderance of opinion | is in favor of it." But, said he, the bill had just been * introduced a few days ago when the session was nearing its close. And he suggested that Mr. Proulx "having done his duty by his anti--vaccination friends" withdraw the measure and he could bring it in again early next session when there would be ample time to discuss it.
