F. Miller (Liberal, Haldimand) has | on Thursday pictured as the resting | place of "booze hoisters," and which the / Liberal member so picturesquely de-- scribed as "the marble orchard." _ The bill is, in the words of Mr. Mac-- aulay, "to stop speculating in lands and townships bordering on cities ostensib-- ly held for cemeteries, but really held as a real estate speculation." And to top this speculation, the bill .et:g;c'.sé.c amending a section of the act having to do with assessment exemption sOo that it will read: "In no case shall more than 40 per cent. of such land in excess of five acres be exempt, un--. less it is actually occupied by graves."|
