Legislature delibarations this morning-- two weecks in advance of the other House commiitees--will probably func-- tion this session as an evidence--taking | inquiry body, practically along the lines | advocated by Liberal House Leader Sinclair in his "help for the farm and farmer'" speech of Tuesday. '"We have had the matter under con-- sideration for some time," said the' Prims Minister, "and it is altcge';her" likely that the committee will invoke| n its present powers to make investiga-- tions that will be of real benefit to the agriculturist." Mr. Henry further intimated that farmers of districts particularly hard hit by the depressicn period--any one, in fact, whoa could throw some light on 's:?u:ions of f2rm problems--might be atked to app:ar befors the committee and stats their cases, in the hope that the committee could make to the House, at an early date, recommenda-- tions that could be legislated into oper-- ation with the lsast possible delay.
