There was no guns salute, no| cavalry escort, and no guard of honor. | Sir William entered the Legislative| Chamber at 3.05, and was gone at| 3.20. Between times he gave Royal| Assent to the 114 bills that had pass-- | ed through all stages of Legislative enactment, and, generally spzsaking, upheld the time--honored tradition which goes with Parliamentary proro-- gations by means of silk topper, dig-- nified figure and pleasing manner of speech. All told, there was little color to yesterday's formal finis to the third session of the Province's eighteenth House. What little was supplied was predominately blue -- blue for the spring skies that canopied the Admin-- f istrator's coming, and *blue for the spirits of many Conservative M.P.P.'s, strong of a belief that deliberations of the HMouse just endesd have added few, if any, laurels to the record of * f &g present Quecn's Park governing ¥. f | Colonel Alexander Fraser, AD.C.,| was on hand for his first Legislature | appearance of the year, after an ex--| tended illiness. Promier Henry, Lib--| + eral House Leader William E. N. Sin--| clair, and Progressive Leader Harry C. Nixon were in their accustomed | seats. A strong representation of To--| ronto Tory members did the honors for the Government following. Most | $ of the ladies present were Cabinet Ministers' wives. In the Speech from the Throne, the prediction was made, among others, that the Henry Government expects shortly to arrive at an agree-- ment with the Federal authority in relation to the construction of a joint| . seaway and power development in $ the international section of the St.: Lawrence River. "This is & matter of special satisfaction," the Speech continues "because it will facilitate C % the negotiation of the deep waterways treaty between the United States and Canada, and its submission to the re-- spective _ Legislative bodies con-- cerned." \ .
