M Toronto will have thirteen seats in the Legislature after next election, in-- stead of its present representation of fifteen. It is represen by Sam Wright. It was also said that Woodbine would go, as its member, George Shields, has announced his retirement. A local political battle looms, now that Brock-- ton has fallen, instead of Dovercourt, and Ward Six Conservatives see dif-- ficulty ahead in placating the wishes of Mr. McBrien and Mr. Wright. George Smith, the Greenwood rep-- resentative, may take over the Wood-- bine riding vacated by Mr. Shields, but there, again, local Conservatives are not unanimous as to who should represent them in the riding.
