G. Howard Ferguson in London? W. G. Medd (Progressive, Huron South) has re-- quested the Government to enumeorate trelephone calls and cable messages p sent to the High Commissioner in London during the last three fiscal years, and has added a rider inquir-- ing as to the cost to the Province in payment of charges for calls and mes-- sages to and from the High Commis-- aloner. The question, one of another long list of Opposition inquiries, was tabled in the Legislature yesterday. The Progressive Leader, HMHon,. Harry 0. Nixon, is asking what sum of money was paid to W. N. Tilley, K.C., or any member of the firm of Tilley, John-- ston, Thomson & Parmenter, by the Hydro, the T. & N.O.. or Government departments. Mr. Nixon also asks what sum has been paid to Mr. Tilley in connection with his work with the Hydro Inquiry Commission, and what sum went to the same legal advisers in connection with the acquiring of assets of the Ontario Power Service Corporation by the Government or Hydro. Sum Paid to Lawyers. F. R. Oliver (U.F.O., Grey South) queried the Government as to what sum was paid E. G. Long, K.C., in connection with legal opinion regard-- ° ing the last Provincial loan, and also asked what the opinion was, and whe--| ther any financial responsibility rest-- ed with Mr. Long in case the courts found him incorrect. The amount of money received by sale of Abitibi power in the last fiscal . year, the cost of obligations assumed when plant and bonds were taken over, the cost of Abitibi operation and administration, and the amount of money paid by the Province under guarantee were requested by D.
