I took Frank Huffs farm took charge and commenced business today. I have a good many chores to do but don't mind it any. Mart and Ina is stratening up the house. I helped put the Carpet down. 2. One lovely day. I helped Frank draw corn stalks till noon. After dinner I ploughed. Mart and I has the house in pretty good shape. 3. Stirling and I went out to Mr. Colliers after my cow, hay and corn stalks. The roads were muddy. 4. Froze up the mud last night. I went out to the Val- ley and voted for Temperance. Stoped to Uncle Nath's for dinner. 5. Extremely cold day. I was tinkering around the barn most of the day. 6. I went out after the remainder of are stuff fetched the organ. Stirling went with me. Visitors Ida, Dan and Archie were here for the evening. 7. Ina, Mirt and I went down to meeting Archie came up with us. 8. Frank and I started to petition the room off up stairs. A mighty cold day now I tell you. 9. We finished up the rooms upstairs. Archie is here. Still the weather is continuing cold and very cold too. 10. Archie and Ina went home. Some warmer like to see some more snow. 11. Mirt and I went down to Picton. We went with Frank's Democrat. It was a might cold ride. We did considerable business. I seen some drawing cutters and sleighs. 12. I spent part of the Four Noon driving the old sow down to Mr. Tubb's. In the After Noon Frank and I graffeted for his nuts. It was very cold. 13. Jobbed it around most of the day. Another very cold day. Commenced about noon to snow and set in for a big storm. 14. I went down to meeting. Mirt wasn't feeling very well and stayed at home. Every body are driving cut- ters today. 15. Frank and I went down to Picton with the sleigh after coal but couldn't get a pound rather a cold day.
