Maureen’s Thought for the Day centred on friendship. She admonished that friends are made by many acts but lost by one. She continued the thought with a poem on friendship. Several members answered roll call by telling of memories connected with the war and Remem- brance Day. Those of us who weren’t in a wartorn country realized what those experienced who were. Some of the songs remembered were Pack Up Your Troubles, It’s A Long Way To Tipperary, Now Is The Hour, White Cliffs Of Dover, Till The Boys Come Home and many more. Barb also related how she enjoyed the musical show at Picton United Church that revived many of those memories. Treasurer Wilma reported our finances and donations will be made to the Salvation Army, the food bank and the South Marysburgh Mirror. Card secretary Mary sent cards to various members in the community. Marg closed the meeting with a reading demonstrating how the values in life change radical- ly over the years. The ladies enjoyed an excellent lunch pre- pared by Maureen who was thanked by Marg.
