This talk is the first in our "New Ventures and County Adventures" series, highligh(cid:415)ng the many interes(cid:415)ng and crea(cid:415)ve ventures undertaken by County people - both new to the area and those who have been here for genera(cid:415)ons. Notes from the Friends of the Milford Branch Library: The Ann Farwell Library in Milford was full to capacity on Sunday, October 22, for a fascina(cid:415)ng talk on the history of the library. The speaker, Nancy Butler, is a local resident and a professor of gender studies at Queen's University. She has had a long- standing interest in the two founders of the Milford Library, Ann Farwell and Jeanne Minhinnick. Several long-(cid:415)me local residents also a(cid:425)ended the talk and shared with the audience their own memories of the library and especially of the building of the current library in 1992. Nancy's talk was illustrated with many items from her personal collec(cid:415)on, with books from the Library as well as ar(cid:415)facts from the Prince Edward County Museums. borrowed from any branch of the Library.
