14 The South Marysburgh Mirror Blandings Turtle Walk-A-Thon In a joint fundraising effort, PEPtBO and APPEC organized the event to raise funds for legal costs associated with figh(cid:415)ng the White Pines Wind Project. The May 1st 6-KM walk along Royal Road and into Milford had its significance in the fact that work on the turbine sites was to cease as of April 30th, and the endangered Blandings Turtle has an annual range of six km within its natural habitate. Wlalkers gathered at the milford Town Hall for a lunch provided by volunteers and entertainment by members of Granpa's Good(cid:415)me Band.
