Restoration has started on the Hudgin House. The Pat Wolfe Log Building School arrived August 29 to begin work stabilizing the logs. The log stabilization is the first step in restoring the Hudgin House. Exterior and Interior chinking of the logs will follow. The next step is installation of the windows. The windows have been constructed by Webwood Windows and Doors in New- ton, ON (near Waterloo). The outside trim and gable renewal follows. Hudgin House fund raising continues with the raffle of the Hand Made Cedar Can- vas canoe by Dick Bird. The canoe is constructed of wood sourced from the County and nearby. It is 18 feet long and weighs 80 pounds which makes it perfect for long dis- tance tripping or cottage use.
