The South Marysburgh Mirror November 2022 / 5 Morrison’s Point Stonewallers Wrap Up Another Year of Rebuilding the Past The Morrison Point Road Dry Stonewallers were back at it this past year picking up and putting down stones. But in this case, each placement of a stone aligns with a precise knowledge and They continue to work on the schoolhouse wall on Keogh’s property where they added another 35 feet. The rock was donated by Nancy Bennet and Joe skill focusing on how to build the iconic stone walls lining Morrison Point Road. Spokesperson Les Stanfield reported the team worked on three sections of wall this year. It was the main focus of a Friday morning group. As always it was a true commu- nity effort, Stanfield said, with Paul Creasy assisting with rock sourcing, beverages offered by our host properties and supple- mented this year by the Lake on the Mountain Brewing Compa- ny. Plans are underway for next year and the group would welcome new volunteers. Newcomers would receive training in stone walling.
