President Sandra Emlaw opened the meeting prop- er at 1:30 with a timely story of a man who retrieved old toys, fixed them and delivered them to needy children. Our purpose, theme hymn and Lord's prayer followed. ev. Jean's devotional was the lighting of candles to demonstrate light and darkness. Skip McCormack read areligious meaning of the Twelve Days of Christmas. Fourteen members reported making twelve sick calls. Sec- retary Carolyn Barne's Nov. minutes were read and ap- proved. Treasurer Joyce Minaker reported our finances are fairly healthy. It was moved to make donations to the fol- lowing groups: Faith Orphan's Fund, Grannies for Mbuyas, Picton food bank, Marysburgh Mirror, Pr. Ed. Co. Hospital foundation, Alternatives for Women, Hospice Prince Ed- ward, Brad Grimmon, Maxwell. The ladies moved to buy 3 large containers to keep food warm - Karen Guernsey to look after this. We are al- so going to purchase 4 doz. soup spoons. aul and Joyce Minaker volunteered to be respon- sible for lunch after our joint service at South Bay on Dec 30th. The ladies moved to have a food sale for Maple in the County in March at Pat York's. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 - Fundraiser for an autism service dog for Maxwell George Emlaw Mee. Duffle- bag Theatre will be performing the comedic play, "Robin Hood" at Mt Tabor Playhouse at 7:00 pm. The show will tun about 1 hour. The Marysburgh Mummers are producing the show with all profit going to National Ser- vice Dogs for their autism service dog training program.
