Jean Wilson will lead an ecumenical church ser- vice at 11:00 followed by a Bar BQ an lots of fun ac- tivities for kids and grown up alike. Powered small motor boat races will take place across the road on the Mill Pond weather permitting. | Milford 200 June Events Milford 200 Plan Two Major Events for June 6, 7 and 8 The Milford 200 Cycling Weekend and the Unveiling of Statue Milford 200 and The Milford Bloomers will hold the unveiling of sculptor John Boxtell’s The Miller statue as well as the inaugural walking tour on Friday, June 6 at 2:30 at the Milford Post office. Children from the South Marysburgh Public School will arrive at the post office to participate in the unveiling. After the un- veiling, they will walk to the Fair Shed at the Fair- grounds for ice cream. Everyone is encouraged to re- turn and have their pictures taken with The Miller. The Bloomers, formed in 2002, have come together to raise money for a commissioned sculpture by the re- nowned sculptor, John Boxtel of a miller. Two hun- dred years ago, it was the Clapp Mill that started the mill industry in the then logging town of Milford. Street Smarts, a municipal committee made a signifi- cant donation towards the commissioned work. The Miller will have a permanent seat on a stone bench in front of the Milford Post Office. Saturday and Sunday features a biking extravaganza called The Milford 200 Cycling Weekend. Saturday morning features an all terrain type ride against the clock called Personal Best that runs 30 to 60 km course. The Ontario Youth Cup is for kids ages 6-16 and includes a race around the Millpond. Saturday afternoon is for youth 10-15 and a time trial for ages 14-60 plus.
