[16 |, The South Marysburgh Mirror LIBRARY NOTES Jit, MILFORD LIBRARY BOOK CLUBS A discussion of pre-selected titles takes place twice monthly for adults, and on the 3' Thursday for the Mothers and Daughters The library will be a busy place this month! On Friday June 6", we will be one of the stops on the Mil- ford Historical Walking Tour. Though we are not customari- ly open on Fridays, we will be open from 1pm to 3pm that day to welcome visitors. On Saturday, June 7", we look forward to seeing the Mil- ford 200 Bike Tour participants in the village. And for those who aren’t speeding by, look for our Used Book and Video Sale out front of the library. We have received some almost new donations lately, so please stop by and have a look. Saturday, June 14" in honour of Father’s Day, it’s Lego Mania. We invite children young and old to come by with Dad (and/or Mom, siblings and friends) to create something with our Lego collection. Children can also make a card for Dad. Saturday June 21". Come celebrate National Aboriginal Day with us in honour of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peo- ples. Storytime at 10:30am. A table with materials to create a native craft will be set up for the day, as well as an Aborigi- nal display. We have a wonderful line up of summer programs under- way for youth this summer. We’ll be “Working with Clay”, presenting “Music and Songs on the Lawn”, and holdin; “The Great Historical Recipe Swap” to mark Milford’s 200" anniversary. We’ll also be holding a Teen Body Art Work- shop, and a Family Eco-Picnic. A very special presentation will take place at the Milford Town Hall on Wednesday, July 30", when The County of Prince Edward Public Library and Archives presents The Barefoot Players, the Queen’s Drama Troupe, performing “Not so Grimm Fairy Tales.” Look for more information at the library and in next month’s Mirror. Finally, we are looking for art pieces created by Grade 7 and 8 students to display at the library for the summer. This is a precursor to the popular Teen Art Show for high school students held annually at the Picton branch of the County of Prince Edward Public Library. Our hours at the Ann Farwell branch are Tuesday 1pm to 8pm, Thursday 10am to 5pm, and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
