Three new members came to the meeting and four more have since said they will be joining, so the numbers are growing! Thanks to all who have committed to becoming a “Friend” The next meeting of the Friends is Wednesday, October 1" at 7pm at the library. Future meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month Now open on PA Days. All branches of the County of Prince Edward Library will now be open on school Profes- sional Activity days from 12 to 4pm. The next P.A. day is Monday, October 27". Library Sleepover! Yes, the first Great Girls Sleepover, for girls 7 to 12, will be held at the Ann Farwell branch on Sunday, October 26" » the night before the P.A. day. A max- imum of 8 participants is allowed and 6 are already regis- tered, so if you are interested, please contact the library. Book Sale. We have a great selection of used books for sale from donations made to the branch recently. We also have videos and books on audiocassette. At 50 each or $2 a bag, they’re a great deal. Come have a look! Evening Book Club Seeking New Members. The li- brary’s evening book club has lost a few members lately and current members are hoping to recruit more readers. The club meets on the third Thursday evening of each month at 7pm at the library. Anyone considering joining the book club for lively literary discussion is invited to drop by, and please bring any book titles you would like to suggest for reading by the group.
