|The South Marysb | 19] J Milford 200 Events Honour the Area’s History and Roots Dr. Bredin: On August 1 Milford’s own Dr. Hautry Bredin was remembered in a unique performance by the cast of this year’s Marysburgh Mummers Drama Camp. Twenty-two performers aged 7 and up chronicled the life of the leading citizen in a series of tableaux depicting the dredging of the Black River, the build- ing of Mount Tabor, the medical realities of the time, and the destruction of Dr. Bredin’s home by fire. Two performances featured a talent showcase which allowed each performer to shine as an individu- al. The evening performance was well attended and re- ceived great reviews from the audience. All the children worked well together and should be very proud of their efforts. In con- junction with Jeanette Arsenault, Rick Zimmerman, am Parkhurst, Michael Reason, Carol Rutledge, Hugh Cameron and Dan Curtis Thomson, the cast created a modern, fun, comedic and very entertaining look at Milford’s history. Thanks also go out to Bruce Dowdell, Al and June Hazell, Lori Farrington, Micheline Cox, Logan Gauweiler, Jacob Dunnett, Luke Weaver, Abby Dunnett and Becca Gorsline for their backstage support. Donations for the Scott’s Mill Restoration Fund were collected in the amount of $329.00 as a result of the two performances.
