Card secretary Mary sent one get well card and will send to] others as needed. Treasurer Wilma reported our finances which are quite healthy and - we had no bills. Monica reported that all of South Marysburgh roads were covered for the trash bash. If people had more respect for keeping things clean, this wouldn't be necessary. The Story daughter had from kindergarten. The Story Blanket and UCW - Continued from page 2 Sat. June 26 - Our annual fish fry has been forwarded due to conflict of former dates. Wed. July 28 - Our UCW is catering lunch for the an- tique car rally. (Ladies please note we will meet at 9am to prepare sandwiches, etc for this). The bicycle rally that we were to cater in June has tenta- tively been set for August. Treasurer Joyce reported our finances which could use an upward boost. South Bay is hosting the fall rally on Wed Sept 29 with Cressy and Glenora supplying dessert. Irene Robb moved and Maureen Rudd seconded that we support the Black Creek Chicks with a donation for Relay for Life (supporting research for cancer). Collection was received and dedicated. Brenda thanked the UCW for cards received to Ken and Gre; For program Irene read an inspiring story from the Read- er's Digest called The Gift of Kindness. No one should be too busy to show kindness to a needy person, no matter how insignificant it may seem. We don't always know how much good this could serve. Our meeting closed with our UCW prayer.
