Thur.2 Warmer again snow wasting away some. Wind blew a gale most all day. 3 Colder again | helped Thomas Wattam kill his beef then tinkered around in the black smith shop the rest of the day. 41 went down to Picton. The roads were not very good for the cutter some were driving buggies. 5 Mirt and | went out to Dan's. We went to af- ter noon meeting at West Lake and went again at night. The sleighing is not very good some driving buggies. 6. Mr. Collier and | went down to the Bay for Election. Charrlie Wattam & Charrlie MacDon- ald were runing for Reeve. Mr. Collier and | had a splendid good time. We vote for Wattam and then went out to Charrlies for dinner. Salmon for dinner. When | got home Mr. & Mrs. Spafford were here. 7. Mr. and Mrs Spafford Mirt and | went down to Picton. We went down with the spring wagon. We all arived home about three thirty oclock. | got some Oysters and we all en- joyed ourselves with a full belly of them. Went over to Mr. Colliers for the evening. 8. Snowed some most all day. Mr. and mrs. Spafford went home this morning. 91 helped Whit work on his sleighs most of the day. We are having rather nice weather but need some more snow to make good sleighing. 10 | fixed up some shoes for the ponies. Dan and Ida was out for dinner.Ranival meetings has been going on this week at West Lake. Mirt and I| were out. -11. Mirt and | stayed all night to Davs and to day Dan killed his cow. Then we came home and | went down to Picton. Snowed for a few minutes like fury. 12. Whit and mary went down to Napanee -13. Rather a cold day tinkered around in the Black Smith shop. 14. Still it is cold. | havent been doying much but the chores. mr. Collier is some what under the weather. 15. | took Mr. Collier down to Picton to see a Doctor. He has a very bad cold. 16. | went down to the Bay after Sarrah Elize. The roads were fine and lots of snow for good sleigh- ing. 17 Tinkered around the house most of the day.Sarah Elize Mirt and | went over to Mr. Ya- bles for a evening visit had a splendid good time. 18. Pa and ma come up today. We all went out to Ida's at night.We had a good time out there. Whit and Mary come home. 19. Pa and ma went home to day. Mirt Sarrah Elize and | went out to Bloomfield to meeting. It was a very cold night but the sleighing was splendid. 20. Quite a cold day. | wasn't doying much of an- ything. We went down to Tom's for a little while in the evening. 21. Mirt and Sarrah Elize went down to Mary El- lens. | helped Whit drive down a couple of steers to Picton . When | came back to Emmits. It snowed all day long like fury. 22. Snowed most of the day. | fixed and greesed my harness up. Mirt and Sarah Eliza read novels. 23. | took some corn out to Miller to get ground. Roads were filled up pretty well with snow. 23. Mirt and | took Sarah Eliza down to her home. It was a lovely day and so warm. 24. Mirt and | went out to Pa's and stayed till the Afternoon then went down to Mr. Spaffords. Pa and ma come down for a evening visit. 25. Mirt and | were at Mr. Spafford's went to meeting at the Union after meeting we started for home. Ina came up with us we got home about 7.30 oclock. 26. A rough cold day. Sawed wood and tinkered around the house. 27. | helped Whit finished the sleighs along into the afternoon | went out to Jakes after a load of straw. 28. | stayed all night to Jake's and to day come home with my straw roads were lovely.
