Volume IIT Issn number 1181-6333 P South Marpsburgh Mirror October, 1990 What Ho? They Came to the Fair! Milford Fair was one of the best attended in years, as well as one of the best ones around. It appeared that everyone was looking for some place to spend that Saturday, and found Milford to be just the place. The weather was good, in relative terms, with no rain for a change. Credit for such a successful event, goes in no small part to the Fair Board and all the people who gave of their time and energy before, after and during the fair. Special mention to Peter Wal- ford-Davis for his efforts in organizing the event. This in itself, is no small task, as some of the groups who are to be in the parade, or who are putting on displays seem to feel that notification need not be given until the last possible moment. There is a list of all the people who supported the fair published in the Picton Gazette, and they deserve our thanks, and in the case of businesses from the township and in Picton, deserve our patronage before we try Belleville or Kingston. The individuals who give their support in so many ways each year should also be congratulated, for itis their spirit that makes South Marysburghsuch a good community in which to live. (We would also publish the list, but on looking at its length, and taking into account our typing skills, we hope we will be forgiven for not doing so. There were 150 individuals and businesses, give or take 3.) Congratulations! ! Number 6
